Moruya Psychology is a new practice dedicated to providing evidence-based psychological services for people seeking mental health support. We offer a safe, inclusive space where everyone feels respected and heard. Our goal is to support you on your journey toward improved mental well-being and a more fulfilling life.

Our Team
Gemma Issaakidis
​Gemma is a Clinical Psychologist who has lived in the local area for over seven years and brings more than 20 years of experience in mental health across government and private settings. She works with clients across the lifespan from a trauma-informed perspective, creating a safe space where people feel heard and supported in working toward their goals. Gemma is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR and Schema Therapy, and works collaboratively with clients to find what best fits their individual needs.

Billie is a four-year-old Groodle who is currently undertaking training to become a therapy dog. Known for her gentle nature and love of pats, Billie looks forward to welcoming clients as part of the team in the near future.

Our Services
Moruya Psychology provides comprehensive psychological services to support mental health and wellbeing, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. We also offer clinical supervision for psychologists across various training pathways. Services are available for WorkCover, NDIS, Medicare, and privately paying clients.

Individual Therapy
Our individual therapy sessions are personalised to address your specific concerns and goals. Your treatment will be tailored through a collaborative conversation with your psychologist, ensuring the approach suits your goals and needs.
Sessions usually run for 50 minutes and are $300 (rebates may be available). Services are available for Workcover, NDIS, Medicare and private paying clients.

Family Based Therapy for eating disorders
Moruya Psychology provides Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for young people experiencing eating disorders. This approach involves working collaboratively with the whole family to support recovery. Sessions usually run for 50mins and are $300 (rebates may be available).

Clinical Supervision
Gemma is a Psychology Board-approved supervisor providing clinical supervision to provisional psychologists, 5+1 pathway psychologists, clinical registrars, clinical psychologists, and colleagues across the mental health sector. She creates a warm, supportive, and relaxed environment that encourages open reflection and learning. Her areas of supervision expertise include working with acute risk and trauma-informed practice.
